    中国石化新闻网讯 据道琼斯8月11日消息，全球塑料总需求的三分之一来自包装行业，而随着越来越多的产品以多层塑料包装送达消费者手中，这对塑料行业产生了必要的需求提振。美银全球研究公司的一份报告称:“向网上购物的迅速转变提振了对塑料包装的需求。”不过，该报告补充称，由新冠病毒疫情大流行引发的制造业和建筑业放缓，反过来降低了对耐用塑料的需求。总而言之，该公司表示，新冠病毒疫情对塑料需求来说并不全是坏消息。

    Coronavirus Lifts Demand for Plastic Packaging

    One-third of total global demand for plastics comes from packaging, and that’s giving a needed demand boost to the petrochemical industry as products increasingly arrive to consumers in various layers of plastic packaging. “The rapid shift to online shopping boosted demand for plastic packaging,” says a report from BofA Global Research, though it adds the pandemic-caused slowdown in manufacturing and construction have conversely reduced demand for durable plastics. All in all, it says “Covid has not been all bad news for plastics demand.”
